Data Scientist

Job Description

We are seeking a Data Scientist who combines strong analytical and modeling skills with hands‑on AI solution development. In this role, you will build predictive models, evaluate complex datasets and design AI agents and automation that address real business problems. You will partner closely with business stakeholders to translate business challenges into actionable AI/ML use cases, quickly prototype solutions, and support their deployment into production environments.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data science, generative AI, and practical solution‑building.

Responsibilities
  • Use statistical, data mining, algorithmic and visualization techniques to model complex problems, find opportunities, discover solutions, and deliver actionable business insights.
  • Build and operationalize Machine Learning models (e.g. classification, forecasting, anomaly detection) using tools like Python, Fabric ML, or Azure ML.
  • Design end‑to‑end AI workflows, from data inputs and prompts to integration points with existing systems.
  • Build and deploy rapid AI Solutions using tools such as Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar frameworks.
  • Design and test conversational agents and copilots that integrate into business workflows.
  • Develop and deploy RAG (retrieval‑augmented generation) and prompt‑engineered copilots embedded into business workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Present findings and provide training to stakeholders and create technical documentation of solutions to ensure code quality and reproducibility.
Requirements
  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field, i.e. statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science, or other related field OR
  • 3‑5 years of work experience in a data science related field, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects and solving complex problems.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in data manipulation, visualization libraries, machine learning and statistical analysis.
  • Experience or completed coursework in cloud‑based computing platforms like Azure. Certification in Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AI, or Applied Data Science a plus.
  • Proficiency with generative AI tools and frameworks (e.g. ChatGPT, Azure OpenAI, Power Automate, Copilot Studio).
  • Experience designing, configuring, or deploying AI Agents and Copilots to automate business processes or enhance user productivity.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or similar data platforms.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, connectors, and integration methods.
  • Working knowledge of ML lifecycle concepts, including data prep, training, evaluation, deployment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
  • Ability to engage with business users, run workshops, and elicit requirements.
  • Ability to translate technical outcomes into business value language.
  • Experience working in the Automotive or Manufacturing Industry is a plus.
