Job summary

Absa Bank Limited is seeking a DevOps engineer to design, build and optimize scalable enterprise applications within an agile team. You will lead CI/CD pipelines, improve deployment processes and enhance observability using ELK, Prometheus and Grafana.

You will collaborate with Front End, Back End and Integration teams, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment with security and infrastructure guidelines in a dynamic banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience building scalable enterprise applications in an agile team.
• Strong background in CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle in an agile team.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Implement observability via ELK, Prometheus, Grafana; ensure performance monitoring.
• Collaborate across Front End, Back End and Integration domains to deliver quality solutions.
• Coach peers and participate in design reviews and governance.
