Job summary

Absa Bank Limited is seeking a Data Architect to drive enterprise data architecture and engineering. You will own the data retrieval, storage and distribution across the bank’s data ecosystem, partnering with data science and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Lead solution design across the development lifecycle, build robust CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and mentor engineers while aligning designs to group standards, risk governance, and long-term data strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data retrieval, storage, and distribution across data ecosystems.
• Collaborate with data science and business stakeholders to define data requirements and architecture.
• Lead the design and deployment of data solutions across the architecture lifecycle.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins.
• Mentor engineers and participate in governance, risk and incident management.
