Job summary

Blue Pearl PTY LTD seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own end-to-end delivery for a greenfield data platform in healthcare and medical scheme administration. The role operates in a highly autonomous, self-sufficient capacity across discovery, assessment and implementation.

You will work within a hybrid model, transitioning from legacy systems (Oracle, SAP BO, SAS) to modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS) while prioritising data quality, governance and self-service analytics to reduce

Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle, SQL development and optimisation.
• Proficiency with SAP BusinessObjects, SAS and Power BI.
• Knowledge of data profiling, ETL, data modelling and metadata management.
• Familiarity with Snowflake and AWS cloud data platforms.
• Exposure to Generative AI/LLMs for data and reporting discovery.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery end-to-end from discovery through implementation.
• Lead a self-sufficient technical engagement in a hybrid environment.
• Deliver reporting rationalisation, automation and self-service analytics.
• Establish data catalogue, metadata standards and governance.
