Job summary

Capitec Ltd in Stellenbosch seeks an experienced Data Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data platforms powering financial analytics. You will partner with Data Architects to design pipelines and ensure reliable data flows across the organisation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python, hands-on AWS and Snowflake expertise, and knowledge of ETL, data lakes, data warehouses and governance. Bachelor's degree in IT or CS; honours preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years in data engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience leading or contributing to data engineering projects.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Snowflake.
• Experience building and optimising data pipelines for financial data analytics.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Understanding of financial products and services.
