Senior Data Analyst: Enterprise BI & Reporting

Job summary

PwC South Africa is seeking a Senior Associate in data and analytics engineering to design and build data infrastructure and pipelines, turning raw data into actionable insights. You will develop enterprise reports and dashboards using Power BI, build semantic models, and define KPIs aligned with business goals.

You will analyse complex datasets, perform data quality checks, and collaborate with Data Engineers and clients to deliver scalable, governed analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data analytics or BI
• Strong SQL skills with advanced joins, CTEs and data validation
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI and enterprise dashboards
• Experience developing Power BI semantic models/datasets
• Knowledge of data modelling and dimensional modelling
• Experience gathering and documenting business and reporting requirements
• Experience delivering reporting solutions from requirements to implementation
• Experience working with large and/or complex datasets
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with data governance and data lineage

Responsibilities

• Enterprise reporting design, development, and maintenance of dashboards and analyses
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions
• Develop reporting datasets and semantic models
• Define KPIs, metrics, calculations, and business rules
• Support modernisation of reporting solutions on the data platform
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and stakeholders to deliver insights
