Job summary

Neptune is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist to oversee the definition, setup, and ingestion of External Data Streams for clinical trials. You will work remotely across South Africa, coordinating with labs, imaging, EHR, wearables, and other digital data sources to align data transfer, ingestion, and structure with study protocols.

You will translate complex medical concepts into data mappings, create tsDTA documents, and ensure timely data delivery for monitoring and analysis.

Qualifications

Experience defining and ingesting external data streams.
Knowledge of data protection regulations and templates.
Ability to translate medical concepts into data mappings.

Responsibilities

Execute deliverables for Standardized External Data Streams.
Assess external data collection requirements per protocol and plan data set‑up activities.
Liaise with key data stakeholders to establish data transfer requirements and structure.
Create change requests for new test concepts or data structures.
Develop trial‑specific Data Transfer Agreements documenting study requirements and methods.
Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study needs (monitoring, reporting, analysis).
Liaise with external data providers to align tsDTA agreements.
Translate medical/scientific concepts into data mapping guidance for Clinical programmers.
UAT of test data transfers for accuracy against Data Transfer Agreements.
