Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cryptocurrency Engineer to design, develop, and optimize core cryptocurrency infrastructure and DeFi protocols. You will work remotely with a globally distributed team to advance cutting-edge blockchain solutions that drive the platform's growth and technical direction.
The role requires a Master’s/PhD in CS or Cryptography, 7+ years in software engineering focused on crypto, and strong knowledge of PoW/PoS, multiple languages, and smart contracts.
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cryptography, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on cryptocurrency and blockchain tech.
- Strong understanding of blockchain architectures and consensus algorithms (PoW/PoS).
- Proficiency in C++, Go, Rust, or Python; Solidity for smart contracts.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cryptocurrency protocols and systems.
- Implement and optimize consensus mechanisms and cryptographic algorithms.
- Develop and audit smart contracts for DeFi apps.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to add crypto features to platforms.
- Conduct performance analyses, security reviews, and capacity planning.
