This role involves leading credit controllers, managing the debtors function, conducting credit risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of credit control experience, preferably in manufacturing or agriculture, along with strong Excel skills and a proven ability to lead teams in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years’ experience in credit control, with supervisory experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or agricultural industries preferred.
• Strong computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise credit controllers and a debtors clerk.
• Manage the full debtors function including collections and reconciliations.
• Conduct credit risk assessments and approve/decline credit applications.
• Build relationships with key customers and sales teams.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and escalated queries.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monthly debtor reports.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies and regulations.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Credit Controller at Meadow Feeds Randfontein to join our team.

The Ideal Candidate Would Be Responsible For

• Lead, mentor, and supervise credit controllers and a debtors clerk.
• Manage the full debtors function, including age analysis review, collections, and reconciliations.
• Conduct credit risk assessments, review customer credit limits, and approve/decline credit applications.
• Build strong relationships with key customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, disputes, and escalated queries.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monthly debtor reports.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, company procedures, IFRS, VAT Act, NCA, and POPIA.
• Work closely with external auditors and handle handover of bad debt to legal when required.
• Drive improvements in processes, controls, and team performance.
• Knowledge and understanding of National Credit Act.

The Successful Candidate Must Meet The Following Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) – Essential.
• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Credit Management – Advantageous.
• Credit Management certification (e.g., ICM) – Beneficial.
• 5–7 years’ experience in credit control, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Experience in manufacturing or agricultural industries preferred.
• Proficiency in Great Plains systems and strong Excel skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong team‑leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Computer literacy with advanced experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
