Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in South Africa is seeking a Senior Cost Controller to support cost management across the BU, using activity-based costing, customer profitability, and tariff governance. The role focuses on cost accuracy, budgeting, and strategic cost reduction.

You will partner with Commercial and Finance teams to deliver timely reports, insights, and opportunities to improve margins, while upholding GAAP and company policies.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• BCom degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is essential.
• 5 years costing and accounting experience in Supply Chain or FMCG is essential; additional qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide baseline inputs on cost changes and client volumes during forecasting/budgeting cycles.
• Assist BD team with new business proposals and cost analyses.
• Prepare budgeting reports and analyze profit margins across the BU and cost-to-serve analyses.
• Develop and maintain cost standards and cost management processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers and establish a customer network at working level.
