Job summary

Ogilvy Social Lab South Africa is seeking a Senior Copywriter to develop and execute creative concepts and copy for multiple brands. You will collaborate with art directors, strategists, and account managers to craft compelling copy that fits the brand voice across social, web, email, and campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Copywriter with strong conceptual skills.
• Outstanding writing ability with a creative edge.
• SEO knowledge and ability to optimise copy for search engines.
• Experience in the South African market and with multiple markets in Africa is a plus.
• Experience mentoring junior copywriters is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with art directors, strategists and account managers to develop concepts.
• Create copy for social media, websites, blogs, email marketing, digital ads and OOH.
• Ensure copy aligns with brand voice and tone across platforms.
• Work with design teams to integrate copy and visuals seamlessly.
• Research industry trends and consumer insights to inform copy.
