Placements24 is assisting a major miner near Klerksdorp in North West with a Contracts Manager role. You will oversee the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, from negotiation and drafting to administration and compliance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate has a law or related degree, CPCM certification, 6+ years in contract management within mining or industrial sectors, and strong negotiation, analytical, and risk-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
• Certification in contract management (e.g., CPCM) desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in contract management, negotiation, and drafting, preferably in the mining or industrial sector.
• In-depth knowledge of contract law principles and best practices.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office.
• Ability to manage multiple complex contracts simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and finalization of commercial contracts.
• Manage contract administration and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks, providing strategic advice to stakeholders.
• Liaise with legal counsel, procurement, and project management teams.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
