The ideal candidate has an LLB and at least 4 years of contract drafting and negotiation experience, with strong organizational skills and the ability to work with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification.
• Minimum 4 years’ contract drafting, review and negotiation experience.
• Strong understanding of South African contract law and commercial principles.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with legal and non-legal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts (supplier agreements, service contracts, NDAs).
• Ensure contracts comply with South African law and company policies.
• Maintain central repository of executed contracts and monitor key dates.
• Provide guidance to business units on contractual terms and risk.
• Assist in resolving disputes and advise on legal strategies.
• Liaise with external counsel on complex matters.
