Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Concept Artist to join a fully remote studio. You will create visual designs defining look and feel for upcoming projects, shaping characters, environments, and props, and pushing creative boundaries in a remote-first environment.

You will collaborate with game designers, art directors, and 3D artists to translate ideas into references and establish a compelling aesthetic across titles, with an emphasis on storytelling, color, and lighting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in concept art for games or entertainment.
• Strong portfolio across characters, environments, and props.
• Proficiency in digital painting software such as Adobe Photoshop or Procreate.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, perspective, color theory, and lighting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration for remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and mood pieces.
• Collaborate with art directors and game designers to define and refine the visual style of projects.
• Create detailed sketches, renders, and color studies to communicate artistic vision effectively.
• Explore and iterate on designs rapidly based on feedback and project requirements.
• Contribute to establishing and maintaining the overall visual language and quality bar for the project.
