Placements24's client seeks a visionary Senior Concept Artist to join their renowned development team in Randburg, South Africa. You will create concept art for characters, environments, and props and collaborate with directors and art leads to translate ideas into tangible visuals that define the project’s aesthetic.

Bring a strong portfolio, deep storytelling, and proficiency in Photoshop, Procreate or Corel Painter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Illustration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a Concept Artist in the entertainment or gaming industry.
• Exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong drawing, painting, and design skills.
• Proficiency in digital art software such as Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, or Corel Painter.
• Strong understanding of anatomy , perspective, color theory, lighting, and composition.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and key visuals.
• Explore and develop diverse visual styles and themes in collaboration with the art direction team.
• Produce detailed sketches, renderings, and mood boards to communicate ideas effectively.
• Collaborate with 3D modelers, animators, and other production staff to ensure design integrity.
• Contribute to defining the overall visual language and aesthetic of the project.
