Job summary

TWK Agri in Pretoria, Gauteng seeks a Compliance Officer within the Company Secretary, Legal & Compliance division. You will provide independent, risk-based compliance oversight across the TWK Insurance Group's entities, advising senior management and governance structures and translating regulatory requirements into practical controls and remediation plans.

With 10+ years in financial services compliance, you will lead the development of risk-based frameworks, monitor regulatory developments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Accounting, Risk Management, Compliance or a closely related discipline on FSCA list.
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
• At least 10 years' relevant compliance experience in financial services with 5+ years in senior/oversight/advisory capacity.
• Eligible for FSCA Compliance Officer approval for Category I FSPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level compliance oversight and advice on legislation including FAIS, FICA, FSRA, POPIA, Insurance Acts and FSCA guidance.
• Monitor regulatory developments and update internal policies, procedures and controls.
• Operationalise Regulatory Universe, translate obligations into plans and coordinate owners.
• Coordinate risk-based compliance assessments across entities and maintain consolidated findings and evidence of closure.
• Oversee governance across financial-services structure with authorised FSPs, Key Individuals, Representatives, licensed branches and shared services.
• Lead development and continuous improvement of risk-based compliance frameworks, monitoring plans, risk registers and internal controls.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments, monitoring reviews and audits on client onboarding, disclosures, records and TCF.
• Monitor Representativ es and Key Individuals for Fit and Proper requirements.
• Oversee AML/CTF/KYC compliance and escalation of material breaches.
• Prepare concise compliance reports for senior management and regulators; support regulatory reporting.
