  • Prepare clear, decision-useful compliance reports for senior management, governance committees and relevant regulators, and support accurate regulatory reporting to the FSCA and Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC)
  • Prepare consolidated, risk-focused compliance dashboards and reports for executive management and relevant subsidiary governance structures, with clear escalation of material breaches, overdue remediation and emerging regulatory exposure
  • Monitor suspicious transaction reporting obligations and ensure that relevant reporting requirements are addressed
  • Manage regulatory submission calendars and filing deadlines to ensure timely and accurate submissions
  • Provide compliance guidance and deliver training to employees, Representatives and Key Individuals on relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of compliance monitoring activities, findings, corrective actions, correspondence and regulatory submissions
  • Ensure compliance documentation is readily available for internal audits, regulatory inspections and external reviews
  • Capture and update compliance information on internal systems accurately and timeously
  • Build trusted relationships with senior management and business stakeholders, constructively challenge where necessary, and promote a culture of compliance, ethical conduct and sound regulatory governance

Qualifications and Skills

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • A recognised bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Risk Management, Compliance or a closely related discipline that appears on the FSCA’s applicable list of recognised qualifications for Compliance Officers
