Placements24 in Port Elizabeth is seeking a motivated Commercial Litigation Associate to join an established practice. You will handle a diverse caseload from inception to resolution, including arbitration and court proceedings.

You will manage your files, conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and represent clients with a strong focus on civil procedure and commercial law. This role offers a challenging yet rewarding career with development opportunities and exposure to significant litigation.

Formación

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial litigation.
• Experience drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and arguing motions.
• Solid understanding of the Rules of Court and substantive law.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a portfolio of commercial litigation matters, including drafting claims, affidavits, and notices.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Conduct examinations of witnesses and experts.
• Liaise effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management efforts.
