Job summary

Pro Select Consulting is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer in Pinetown, South Africa. You will program, set up and optimise CNC milling and turning machines, interpreting engineering drawings and specs to drive productivity.

Candidates should have 4–6 years' experience, proficiency with Fusion 360 or equivalent CAD/CAM software, and qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Toolmaking. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years' experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using Fusion 360 or similar CAD/CAM software.
• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Toolmaking, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CNC programming using Fanuc, Siemens, GSK, or similar control systems.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately.
• Program, set up, and optimise CNC milling and turning machines.
• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to maintain productivity.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and optimise CNC milling and turning machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately.
• Develop, modify, and optimise CNC programs to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
• Work closely with the CNC Setter to ensure seamless machine operation and production.
• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to maintain productivity.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and quality standards.
