Job summary

MC Technology Staffing seeks an experienced CNC programmer to translate engineering drawings into precise CNC code for multiple machines in a Benoni-based workshop. You will create tool paths using Fusion 360, adjust G-Code and M-Code, and ensure processes meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires 4–8 years of programming experience on 8 CNC machines, proficiency with Fanuc and Siemens controls, and willingness to work overtime in a health-and-safety conscious environment.

Qualifications

• NQF L5 Machining certificate required.
• Proficient in Fusion 360 CAM programming.
• Experience with Fanuc and Siemens controls is essential.

Responsibilities

• Translate design drawings into CNC code and optimize tool paths.
• Create 3D shapes in Fusion 360 and map precise tool paths.
• Write and tweak G-Code & M-Code for CNC machines.
• Prepare machine setup, align materials, and confirm measurements with QC tools.

Purpose:

Translates design drawings of remote control (RC) parts into digital instructions (code) for the CNC machine. to figure out the best way to cut materials used to manufacture parts

Skills and Requirements:

National Certificate: Engineering Machining (NQF L5) Proficient in Fusion 360 CAM Programming, Fanuc and Siemens controls (Essential) Minimum 4-8 years Programming 8 CNC machines Availability to work overtime Adhere to Health and Safety Requirements Reporting to the MD

Duties include:

Using Fusion 360 create the 3D shapes and map out precise tool paths. Translate design drawings into digital instructions (code) for the CNC machine. to figure out the best way to cut materials used to manufacture parts G-Code & M-Code: Write and tweak lines of code that tell the machine exactly where to move, how fast to cut, and when to change tools. Machine Setup: Prep the CNC machine by installing cutting tools, aligning raw materials, and setting up the tooling fixtures. Quality Control: Run test parts and using precise measuring equipment to ensure the finished product meets strict safety standards.
