Lead migrations to AWS, ensure best practices for security and cost optimization, and create detailed diagrams and IaC pipelines using Terraform and CloudFormation.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a pioneering cloud consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect with a strong focus on AWS to join their fully remote team. This role is integral to designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions for a diverse range of clients. You will leverage your deep expertise in AWS services to guide clients through their cloud transformation journeys, providing strategic architectural guidance and technical leadership. Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for various client needs.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust cloud architectures.
• Develop migration strategies and plans for moving existing applications and infrastructure to AWS.
• Ensure solutions adhere to best practices for security, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and serverless technologies.
• Create detailed architectural diagrams, documentation, and proposals.
• Automate cloud deployments and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and industry trends, continuously learning and sharing knowledge.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences in a remote setting.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them maximize their benefits from cloud adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud computing, with at least 5 years specifically focused on AWS architecture.
• Proven experience designing and deploying complex, scalable, and highly available solutions on AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management tools.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, distributed team environment.
• Experience working remotely and effectively managing distributed projects.
