Placements24 in Randburg is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative technology division. The role focuses on developing and maintaining a scalable cloud backend, collaborating with product management and DevOps to deliver reliable features.

You will design and implement microservices, work with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker and Kubernetes, and participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high quality software in a fast-paced Gauteng environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering; master's preferred.
• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong cloud experience on AWS/Azure/GCP and containers.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases; data modeling skills.
• Excellent problem-solving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend microservices.
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on cloud platforms.
• Write clean, well-documented, thoroughly tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
