Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to join our dedicated clinical operations team in Bloemfontein. This role ensures the integrity of clinical trial data by monitoring study sites and verifying adherence to ICH-GCP and study protocols.

You will travel extensively to sites, conduct site initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits, mentor junior CRAs, and collaborate with investigators and sponsors to support safe, compliant trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a life science, nursing, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of CRA experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site initiation, routine monitoring, and close-out visits for clinical trials.
• Verify the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of clinical trial data through source data verification (SDV).
• Ensure investigator sites comply with study protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with investigators, site staff, and study sponsors.
• Identify and report potential issues, deviations, and adverse events in a timely manner.
• Train and mentor junior CRAs on best practices in clinical trial monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a life science, nursing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Clinical Research Associate.

• Proven ability to conduct thorough site monitoring and data verification.
