Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a dedicated Civil Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable firm based in Pretoria. You will oversee cost control, budgeting, and contractual administration on civil projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' experience, a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, proficiency in QS software and MS Office, and strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil projects.
• Understanding of civil engineering construction processes and materials.
• Experience managing large civil projects.
• Familiarity with GCC and FIDIC contract forms is beneficial.
• Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for civil projects.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements.
• Monitor costs and report cost variations accurately.
• Draft and analyse tender documents and scopes of work.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide insights on contractual claims and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards throughout lifecycle.
