About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer with extensive experience in site development and stormwater management for a fully remote position. This role will involve leading the design of complex site infrastructure projects, including grading, drainage, utility coordination, and erosion control. You will work with a diverse range of clients and project types, contributing to sustainable development practices. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage projects from inception to completion while collaborating with remote teams. The ability to leverage digital tools for design, communication, and project management is paramount. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of site development projects, including grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and utility coordination.
• Develop comprehensive stormwater management plans, including hydraulic design of drainage systems, detention/retention facilities, and culverts.
• Utilize hydraulic modeling software to analyze and design stormwater infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure designs comply with local, provincial, and national regulations and best practices.
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, environmental consultants, and other stakeholders in a remote environment.
• Conduct site feasibility studies and identify potential design challenges.
• Review construction submittals and respond to contractor inquiries.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on site development and stormwater design.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively within a remote work structure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in civil site development and stormwater management design.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr. Eng. is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM), and other relevant design tools.
• Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and environmental regulations related to site development.
