Placements24 seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead infrastructure planning initiatives from our Sandton office. You will oversee feasibility studies, master planning, and coordination of major civil projects, guiding teams toward sustainable urban development.

Hybrid work is available. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in infrastructure planning, strong analytical and leadership skills, and a Pr Eng registration is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning.
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure planning, project assessment, and strategy development.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly desirable.
• Expertise in GIS, spatial analysis, and infrastructure modeling software.
• Strong understanding of urban development trends, environmental considerations, and regulatory frameworks in South Africa.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and develop master plans for large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical input for strategic planning and policy development related to infrastructure.
• Coordinate with government agencies, developers, and internal teams.
• Assess infrastructure needs and identify potential solutions for urban and regional development.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals for infrastructure planning projects. Mentor and guide junior engineers involved in planning and assessment tasks.
