Placements24 is seeking a Senior Chemistry Tutor for a leading academic institution in Polokwane, Limpopo. The role provides high-level academic support across chemistry topics, from foundational to advanced, with a focus on engaging learners and building confidence.

You will create learning materials, mentor students, and collaborate with chemistry faculty to align tutoring with curriculum while maintaining progress records and staying current with laboratory practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of tutoring/teaching chemistry at secondary or tertiary level.
• Strong knowledge of chemical principles and laboratory practices.
• Clear and effective explanation of complex concepts.
• Experience with curriculum development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tutoring across organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry.
• Develop teaching strategies and supplementary learning materials.
• Conduct one-on-one and small-group sessions; provide feedback.
