Job summary

Network Finance seeks an experienced Chemical Process Engineer to design, optimise and commission complex chemical process systems with international impact. You will develop process designs from concept to commissioning and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on safety-critical projects.

The role requires 5–10 years in process engineering, strong process safety knowledge and proficiency with PFDs/P&IDs and Aspen software.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc Chemical Engineering degree.
• 5–10 years in process engineering in chemical manufacturing, explosives, petrochemical, mining, pharmaceutical or related industries.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, control philosophies.
• Experience with Aspen HYSYS or Aspen Plus; knowledge of design codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop process designs for chemical plants from concept through commissioning.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets and process calculations.
• Perform mass and energy balances, hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing.
• Design and optimize reactors, mixing systems, vessels, heat exchangers and piping networks.
• Conduct HAZOP, SIL, LOPA and other process safety studies.
• Ensure compliance with engineering codes, safety regulations and quality standards.
• Support plant commissioning, startup, performance testing and optimization.
