Placements24 is seeking a distinguished Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Building Services to join on-site in Sandton. You will lead design, specification, and project management of electrical systems for commercial and residential buildings, ensuring compliance with SANS and NEC.

You will collaborate with architects and consultants, develop detailed schematics and calculations, review submissions, and supervise site inspections during construction.

Qualifications

• B.Eng or B.Sc in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical design for building services.
• Strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design for new building projects, including power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, calculations, and specifications for tender and construction.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS, NEC, and other relevant building regulations and safety standards.
• Manage electrical aspects of projects, liaising with clients, architects, and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during the construction phase.
• Review contractor submissions and ensure adherence to design intent.
