Placements24 is seeking a Senior Building Architect for a distinguished Pretoria-based practice in Gauteng. Lead design across commercial and residential portfolios, ensuring compliance with SA building regulations and sustainable practices.

You will shape aesthetics, mentor a design team, and manage client coordination from concept to completion. The role requires a professional architecture degree, SACAP registration, and a track record delivering complex projects with AutoCAD, Revit,

Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from a recognized institution.
Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team and liaise with stakeholders.
Proven ability to deliver complex architectural projects from concept through completion.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

Lead the architectural design process for new builds and renovations from concept to construction docs.
Mentor and manage junior architectural staff to foster a collaborative team.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities for project progress.
Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning laws, and sustainability standards in Pretoria, Gauteng.
