Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in Accountancy/Finance or related field
• Certified Professional Accountant or Chartered Accountant (Desirable)
• 10+ years in international accounting/financial operations, supervisory experience
• IPSAS knowledge and ERP/ERP-implementation experience

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in building capacity and ensuring IPSAS compliance across the region
• Lead a team providing region-wide financial management for Programme Budget, awards management, and expenditure variance analysis
• Guide budget centers on management of DoA, controls, and performance evaluation
• Support planning and budgeting processes, including operational planning, control, and donor reporting
• Coordinate region-wide administrative budget preparation and monitoring
• Contribute to resource allocation proposals to AFRO Senior Management
• Design innovative approaches to strengthen financial controls and staff capacity in budget management and GOE
