Job summary

AECOM South Africa is seeking bridge engineers to deliver diverse local and international bridge projects. You will design and plan bridges and related structures, oversee drawings and specifications, and perform inspections in line with TMH19.

This role requires independent work, timely delivery, and strong communication. We value four-plus years' experience, familiarity with international standards, and proficiency in structural design software.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Postgraduate studies in structural/bridge engineering are a benefit.
• Accreditation as a Bridge or Culvert Inspector is a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Design and planning of new bridges, culverts and other road/rail structures.
• Rehabilitation and upgrading design of existing bridges and drainage structures.
• Oversee the preparation of construction drawings and project specifications.
• Inspection of bridges and culverts per TMH19 and related standards.
• Apply the AECOM Quality Management System to all work.
• Prepare design reports.
