Wine Co. in Paarl, Western Cape, seeks an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to own the full bookkeeping function across multiple entities. Reporting directly to the Chief Accountant, you will ensure accurate records and support day‑to‑day finance operations.

With 3–5 years in a senior bookkeeping role and Sage/SimplePay experience, you will drive reconciliations, payroll, and intercompany processes while maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a bookkeeping or accounting qualification.
• 3–5 years in a senior bookkeeper or trial balance role.
• Experience with Sage Accounting is essential.
• Experience with SimplePay payroll software is advantageous.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform debtors, creditors, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations across four companies.
• Complete intercompany reconciliations.
• Capture and process financial transactions in Sage.
• Prepare VAT returns and supplier payment schedules.
• Process payroll for ~100 employees using SimplePay.
• Manage inventory and provide support to other companies.
