Job summary

Shift Pursuit in Paarl is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our client’s team. You will record daily financial transactions, ensure accurate posting in our accounting system, and bring the books to trial balance while maintaining compliance with VAT requirements.

You will review management reports, engage with clients on bookkeeping matters, and lead a small bookkeeping team. The role demands reliability, attention to detail, and solid knowledge of accounting software.

Qualifications

• Matric with strong maths and accounting.
• Certificate or Diploma in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Experience as a bookkeeper.

Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions.
• Balance books to trial balance and ensure accuracy.
• Filing of documents (electronic or hardcopy).
• Review management reports and relay to clients.
• Manage VAT reconciliation and submission.
• Client management related to bookkeeping matters.
• Oversee team administration and management aspects.
