Placements24 is seeking a Senior Blockchain Developer to design, build, and deploy secure smart contracts and dApps for a rapidly growing DeFi ecosystem in Midrand, Gauteng. You will work across Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon, ensuring robust architecture and scalable solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in blockchain, expertise in Solidity, Rust or Go, and familiarity with Hardhat, Truffle, and Web3.js. Hybrid work combines in-office collaboration in Midrand with remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Blockchain Developer or Smart Contract Engineer
• Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, or Go

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement secure and efficient smart contracts on Ethereum, Solana, Polygon and other platforms
• Develop and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) with focus on UX and performance
• Integrate blockchain with existing systems and external APIs
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure quality and reliability
• Research blockchain protocols, security vulnerabilities, and industry trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing smart contracts and dApps
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap of blockchain initiatives
