Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Blockchain Architect to join their team, working remotely while supporting initiatives in Stellenbosch.

The role involves designing and overseeing scalable, secure blockchain solutions, defining architecture, selecting technologies, and guiding development teams through complex crypto projects in a fast-evolving distributed ledger landscape.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Blockchain Architect or senior technical leader.
• Deep knowledge of blockchain protocols (Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda).
• Proven ability to design and implement complex, large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with smart contracts, cryptography, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technical architectures for blockchain applications, considering scalability, security, and performance requirements.
• Lead the selection of appropriate blockchain platforms, consensus mechanisms, and development tools.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design specifications.
• Evaluate emerging blockchain technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
