Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Blockchain Architect to spearhead blockchain initiatives in a fully remote capacity. You will define the technical vision, strategy, and architecture for decentralized applications and blockchain-based products.

You will mentor engineers, guide development teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation in crypto and Web3, while working from home on projects potentially linked to Upington.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software architecture and development, with a minimum of 5 years specifically focused on blockchain technology.
• Expertise in designing and implementing solutions using major blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Solana).
• Deep understanding of smart contract development, consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic principles.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and managing complex architectural projects.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall architecture for blockchain solutions, including network design, smart contract strategy, and integration points.
• Lead the technical design and development of complex decentralized applications (dApps) and enterprise blockchain solutions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate blockchain technologies, platforms, and tools for current and future needs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to blockchain development teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Ensure all blockchain solutions are designed with security, scalability, and performance as paramount considerations.
