Job summary

IP Capital (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Senior Developer for a full-time, on-site role based in Centurion. You will design, develop, and maintain custom applications and automation solutions that meet client requirements, focusing on BI, data integration, and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities include implementing BI solutions, building data-driven systems, and ensuring code quality through tests and documentation.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in software development, including experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, and application architecture.
• Candidates should possess skills in Business Intelligence and data solutions, with practical experience in Microsoft Power BI, data modeling, and report/dashboard development.
• Candidates should possess skills in database design and management, including SQL, query optimization, and integration with applications and BI platforms.
• Candidates should possess skills in process automation and systems integration, such as using APIs, automation tools, and scripting to streamline business workflows.
• Candidates should possess skills in analysis and problem solving, including the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and mentor less experienced developers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
• Experience in a consulting or client-facing environment, and familiarity with accounting, business process, or information management domains, is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day tasks include implementing and optimizing Business Intelligence solutions, building and integrating data-driven systems, and ensuring code quality through testing, reviews, and documentation.
• The Senior Developer collaborates with business and technical stakeholders to refine specifications, troubleshoot issues, and improve existing solutions.
• The role also involves mentoring junior team members, contributing to architecture and technology decisions, and promoting best practices in software development and data management.
