Job summary

Codematch in Johannesburg seeks a senior .NET engineer to own the live platform, shaping the team’s engineering foundations. You will lead the .NET 8 API, databases, Azure environments and the release pipeline, mentoring a second engineer as the team grows.

This first senior technical lead role offers hybrid work after onboarding. Onsite Rosebank onboarding, then three days in the office and two days from home, with a market-related package based on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven C# / .NET development experience on .NET 8.
• Experience with SQL Server and data modelling.
• Exposure to Azure production environments and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Own the .NET 8 API, databases, Azure environments and release pipeline.
• Take over the platform from current partner and ensure end-to-end understanding.
• Set coding and release standards, mentor a second engineer.
• Collaborate across API, database and frontend when needed.
