Job summary

M-KOPA Ltd. is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for its Mobility division to design and deliver scalable event-driven microservices powering electric-mobility platforms across Africa.

You will own services from architecture to production monitoring, work with AI coding tools like Claude Code, and collaborate across teams to accelerate development while upholding high quality and reliability. This role is remote with cross-timezone collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven senior backend experience with C#/.NET in cloud environments.
• Experience building event-driven microservices.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD practices.
• Familiar with AI-assisted coding tools and modern DevOps workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build event-driven microservices powering Mobility backend end-to-end.
• Own services from architecture decisions to production monitoring and optimization.
• Collaborate across teams to move fast with Claude Code integration.
• Ensure robust observability, testing, and continuous delivery across environments.
