Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer specializing in Python and Django to join a fully remote engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications that drive core products, mentor other developers, and contribute to architectural decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of backend software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and extensive Django experience.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM concepts.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Python and Django.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries for efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers to define and implement new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues, ensuring stability and performance of applications.
