Placements24 is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer for a fully remote, globally distributed engineering team. You will design, integrate, and validate complex avionics systems for next‑generation aircraft, driving performance, reliability, and safety in a remote work environment.

You will lead system‑level analysis, develop tests, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with software, hardware, and aerospace specialists to ensure seamless integration and compliance with evolving

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in avionics systems engineering.
• Experience with avionics system design, integration, and testing methodologies.
• In‑depth knowledge of ARINC 429, ARINC 664, GPS, INS, and flight control laws.
• Familiarity with embedded software development processes and tools.
• Experience with DOORS and SysML.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed team.
• Experience in aviation regulatory compliance (FAA, EASA) is desirable.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in avionics systems engineering.
• Proven experience with avionics system design, integration, and testing methodologies.
• In‑depth knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, ARINC 664), navigation systems (GPS, INS), and flight control laws.
• Familiarity with embedded software development processes and tools.
• Experience with systems engineering tools and techniques (e.g., DOORS, SysML).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a distributed team environment.
• Experience in regulatory compliance for aviation (e.g., FAA, EASA) is highly desirable.
