Placements24 in Pietermaritzburg is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (avionics) to maintain and repair avionics across our fleet, ensuring airworthiness and safety. The role requires a valid EASA Part 66 B1.1 or B2 license, 5+ years' experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex avionics using manuals and schematics.

You'll work with flight crews and maintenance teams to uphold regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Valid EASA Part 66 CAT B1.1 or B2 license.
• Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience with avionics focus.
• Proficient in troubleshooting avionics on various aircraft.
• Experience with Part-145 and Part-M.
• Ability to interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics systems, including navigation, communication, autopilot, and instrument systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex avionics faults using advanced diagnostic equipment and technical documentation.
• Conduct repairs, modifications, and installations of avionics components and wiring systems.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately documented in accordance with aviation regulations and company procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with flight crews, engineers, and other maintenance personnel to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
