Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to join a fully remote engineering team. The role focuses on integration and validation of complex automotive systems, driving innovation in vehicle platforms and connectivity.

You will collaborate with software, hardware and mechanical engineers, define system requirements and architectures for ECUs, and lead system-level testing and validation from a remote location.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of automotive systems engineering experience focusing on integration and validation.
• Strong understanding of automotive architectures and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN).
• Experience with system modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink).

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and architecture for ECUs and integrated automotive subsystems.
• Develop and manage system integration plans ensuring interoperability between subsystems.
• Perform system-level validation and testing to identify and resolve integration issues.
• Collaborate with software, hardware and mechanical engineering teams throughout product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and architecture for automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and integrated systems.


• Develop and manage system integration plans, ensuring interoperability between different vehicle subsystems.


• Perform system-level validation and testing, identifying and resolving integration issues.


• Collaborate with software, hardware, and mechanical engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.


• Document system designs, specifications, and test results according to industry standards.


• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the systems engineering domain.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.


• Extensive experience (7+ years) in automotive systems engineering , with a strong focus on integration and validation.


• Deep understanding of automotive architectures, communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN), and industry standards (e.g., AUTOSAR).


• Proficiency in system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).


• Proven ability to manage complex projects and work effectively in a fully remote team environment.
