Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Automotive Electrical Engineer in Mahikeng to design, develop and test electrical systems for vehicles. You will work on wiring harnesses, ECMs, schematics, and 3D models, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, validation, and collaboration across engineering disciplines to bring concepts to production-ready designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in automotive electrical system design and development.
• Experience with electrical CAD software and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical architectures and communication protocols (CAN/LIN).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, power distribution, and ECMs.
• Create electrical schematics, 3D models, and technical documentation using CAD tools.
• Perform system integration, testing, and validation for reliability.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during prototype development and production.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software teams and suppliers to meet project goals.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards and ISO 26262.
