Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Diagnostician for our advanced service center in Mahikeng. You will diagnose complex mechanical and electronic issues using cutting-edge tools and extensive technical knowledge to pinpoint root causes and ensure first-time right repairs.

The role requires leading diagnostics across engine, transmission, HVAC, and electronics, with mentorship of junior technicians and ongoing professional development in a fast-evolving field.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Diagnostician or Master Technician.
• Expertise diagnosing issues across engine, transmission, HVAC, and electronics.
• Proficient with a wide range of diagnostic software and hardware.
• ASE Master Technician certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Analytical, problem-solving and independent work abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth diagnostics on complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and scan tools to identify system faults.
• Interpret diagnostic data, technical service bulletins, and repair manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
• Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly to service advisors and customers.
• Stay current with the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniques.
• Mentor and guide junior technicians, sharing expertise and troubleshooting complex cases.
