Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Diagnostic Technician for a remote-first engineering team. You will perform remote diagnostics across engine, ABS, SRS, and infotainment, interpreting DTCs and sensor data to identify root causes.

You will use OEM software and advanced tools, document findings, and collaborate with engineering to improve tools and software. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Technician or similar role.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing modern vehicle electronic and mechanical systems.
• Experience with OEM diagnostic software and advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Strong understanding of CAN bus, powertrain management, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform remote diagnostic analysis on engine, transmission, ABS, SRS, and infotainment systems.
• Interpret DTCs, sensor data, and wiring diagrams to identify root causes.
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and scan tools to troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Technician or similar role.

• Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, CAN bus communication, and powertrain management.
