Job summary

Indsafri is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer (Automation) to lead advanced test automation across enterprise platforms. You will design and implement robust automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing, and drive CI/CD integration.

You will mentor junior engineers, promote shift-left testing, and collaborate with developers, product owners and architects to raise quality standards across squads, delivering reliable software with measurable dashboards.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years in Software Quality Engineering.
• Proven experience in automation testing in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience in Agile delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintainscalable automation frameworks (UI, API, and integration layers)
• Develop reusable automation assets (test scripts,utilities, and test data frameworks)
• Ensure automation coverageacross functional, regression, and non-functional testing
• Drive data-driven, parallel,and cross-platform test execution strategies
• Integrate automated testinginto CI/CD pipelines (build, deploy, test cycles)
• Implement automated regression and smoke testingtriggered on code commits
• Provide visibility of test resultsthrough dashboards and reporting tools
• API & Microservices Testing
• Develop automated tests for RESTfulAPIs and microservices architectures
• Validate:
• Response payload structures (JSON/XML)
• Status codes and error handling
• Authentication and securitymechanisms
• Ensure stability of backend integrations and service dependencies
• Quality Engineering Leadership
• Define and enforceQE standards, practices, and governance acrosssquads
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to drive quality-first design
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on automation best practices
• Promote shift-left testingand early defectdetection
• Develop and executecomprehensive test strategies covering:
• Functional testing
• Regression testing
• Integration testing
• End-to-End (E2E) testing
• Assess automation feasibility and optimize test coverage
• Ensure traceability betweenrequirements, test cases,and automation scripts
• Defect Management &Quality Reporting
• Identify, log, track,and manage defectsthrough lifecycle
• Analyse test resultsand provide actionable insights
• Produce quality metricsand reports for stakeholders:
• Test coverage
• Defect leakage
• Non-Functional &Performance Testing (Support)
• Collaborate on performance, security, and resilience testing
• Contribute to automation of performance test scripts and monitoring
• Support reliability and stability assessments across environments
