Placements24 is seeking a Senior Auditor to join its internal audit team in a hybrid role based in Sandton, Gauteng. The position focuses on planning and executing financial, operational, and compliance audits, assessing internal controls, and recommending improvements to safeguard assets and enhance efficiency.

The role requires strong auditing knowledge, analytical ability, and clear communication with management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CIA/CA(SA)/CISA certification desirable.
• Minimum of 4 years in internal or external auditing.
• Experience in financial services industry preferred.
• Knowledge of COSO framework.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and document financial, operational, and compliance audits.
• Assess internal controls and risk management processes.
• Identify control weaknesses and non-compliance issues.
• Develop recommendations to improve controls and processes.
• Prepare audit reports for management and audit committee.
• Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
• Stay current with auditing standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with external auditors as needed.
• Build relationships with auditees and stakeholders.
• Participate in special investigations and ad-hoc projects.
