Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Technologist to lead architectural design work within a project team in Pretoria, focusing on BIM model and drawing production, design coordination and technical calculations. The role requires a BTech in Architectural Technology, SACAP registration, and 8 years in the built environment.

You will collaborate across disciplines, prepare specifications and drawings, and support design development under supervision.

Qualifications

• BTech in Architectural Technology completed at an accredited University.
• 8 years of experience in the built environment.
• Registered as a Professional Architectural Technologist (SACAP).

Responsibilities

• BIM model and drawing production aligned with the design brief.
• Design coordination within Architecture and Cross Discipline.
• Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
• Preparing specifications, reports and data tables.
• Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
• Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
• Under supervision, may complete moderate to high complexity design assignments.
• Familiarity with codes, permits, and software related to the discipline.
• Material take-offs for the discipline.
